{ "currentVersion": 10.91, "serviceDescription": "Naturally_Occurring_Asbestos", "mapName": "Layers", "description": "Naturally-occurring asbestos in NSW\n \n\nFor more information, please read the report at: http://www.workcover.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0016/30418/WC01788-0715-297174.pdf\n \n\nThis collection of datasets aims to select areas where there is potential for naturally occurring asbestos to occur within about 10 m of the surface throughout New South Wales. The areas are based on based on the existing 1:250,000 geological mapping with additional use of 1:25 000 lithological mapping in the Broken Hill area. The datasets also include point data information on sites where naturally occurring asbestos has been found, and petrographic information on asbestos and its host rocks.\n\nThe different layers can be switched on or off (and their transparency adjusted) by clicking the \"Layers\" icon at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on a polygon or point will return more detailed attribute information. The map has been restricted to only zoom to approximately 1:80,000, reflecting the maximum accuracy of the underlying mapping data. \n\nAuthors: NSW Trade & Investment, Resources and Energy, 2013\n\nUse limitations and Disclaimer\nThe information contained in this publication is based on the knowledge and understanding at the time of writing (June 2013).
