Description: Numbers of fish caught from the catch dataset collected by Fisheries NSW using electrofishing at all sites that have been sampled in NSW between 1 January 2002 and 31 December 2011 (a 10 year period) were standardised to catch per minute of electrofishing (power-on time) to account for variation in sampling effort across sites. Data collected using methods other than electrofishing (ie. nets, traps, angling etc) were not used and therefore the data are not a comprehensive record of presence/ absence of each taxon. They should be considered in conjunction with other sources of information, including threatened species sampled by Fisheries NSW using other methods, records from other groups (university students, researchers or consultants), community reports via Threatened Species Sighting forms, or conservation stocking programs (but where the release sites have not subsequently been sampled).
